- Abstract
The author discusses the conditions wherein a U.S. government official are not immune from civil liability for damages inflicted. He explains the responsibility of the government to encourage good behavior from its officials and the possibility that it is named as a co-defendant in a lawsuit. He explores the damages that are inflicted by officers in the performance of their duties. He explains the application of the immunity law, the concerns of the court and the effect of a civil lawsuit on the behavior of an officer.
