Title
Drug May Give Pain Relief Without Addiction.
Abstract
The article presents information on a new analgesic, trans-3,4-dichloro-N-methyl-N-[2-(1-pyrrolidinyl)cyclohexyl]benzene-acetamide, which can relieve pain without any addiction. The drug has been developed by scientists Andrew H. Tang and Philip F. Von Voigtlander at Upjohn Co. According to the scientists, the agent acts only on x-receptors of the brain, and not on μ-receptors, as in case of other strong analgesics.
