- Authors
Plagmann, Hans-Christian; Lange, Dieter E.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the iatrogenic periodontal destruction in young patients. The condition is being developed in inflammation due to microbial infection that caused by plaque. It indicates the presentation of gingivitis in more than 90% of 11-year-old children and the detection of pathologically enlarged gingival pockets before reaching the age of 13. It reveals that the periodontal destruction found in children is caused by a dental treatment which is improperly performed. Several cases related to the condition are also presented.
