- Abstract
This article focuses on the court ruling given in Doughboy Industries v. Societi E.D.B.I. case. Award which determined a round figure for commissions cannot be challenged when the mathematics of the arbitrators are not disputed, but where the sole challenge was "substantive matters as to the validity of certain sales transactions and as to particular items of damages, all of which are solely within the purview and discretion of the arbitrators."
