- Abstract
The article focuses on the value of volunteerism and the story of Diane Wohl, an amazing volunteer. It says that volunteerism is a core Jewish value and is a conventional way for Jews to be involved in their communities. It states that voluntarism is also considered to be a building block of Jewish social capital, wherein volunteering authorizes institutions to sustain community. Meanwhile, the story of Wohl relates her experience of volunteering as a member of the Jewish Women International.
