- Abstract
The article discusses the efforts of the United Jewish Appeal (UJA)-Federation for the crisis in Kiryat Shmona in Israel. The authors mark the thoughtfulness and understanding of how to maintain the dignity of the municipal authorities in the approach used by UJA-Federation. They highlight the programs created by the federation from encouraging recovery to offering special support for new immigrants and providing training for professionals. The uniqueness of the federation's response lies on the combination of passion and planning, says the author.
