- Abstract
The article profiles Giselle Pryer, who was a pivotal influence on the school library scene in Northern Territory. Pryer has worked for the Papua New Guinea Department of Education as the teacher librarian in-charge from 1968 to 1979. In addition, Pryer has also played a role as a district guidance officer for four years at Alotau High School and an English teacher at Rabaul High School. Moreover, Pryer first came into the Territory in 1985 as a teacher librarian at Dripstone High School. Further, Pryer's present role as a teacher librarian includes information skill teachings to mainstream and Indigenous students in remote communities.
