- Abstract
This article provides a comprehensive overview of the diagnosis and treatment of snoring in adults, based on guidelines from the German Society of Otorhinolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. It explains that snoring is a common condition that can affect anyone, but is more common in men and overweight individuals. While snoring is usually just a nuisance for bed partners, it can also be a symptom of a serious health problem called obstructive sleep apnea. The article discusses various treatment options for snoring, including positional therapy, weight loss, mandibular advancement devices, and surgical approaches. It emphasizes the importance of consulting with healthcare professionals for proper diagnosis and treatment.
