- Abstract
The article discusses the use of the new document released by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) in improving the privacy and security of the online personal health record (PHR) system in the U.S. The document entitled "Nationwide Privacy and Security Framework for Electronic Exchange of Individually Identified Health Information" contains eight principles including individual access, safeguards, correction and accountability.
