The article provides a sociological reading of select poems by Rosellen Brown, Claire T. Feild, and Jack Crocker, all of whom found inspiration from the Mississippi Delta. It mentions although their poems contain life stories, they also serve as sociopolitical commentary on the region. It also mentions that reading Mississippi Delta poetry is a way to enhance understanding of social interaction in the area.
