- Abstract
The article discusses the study on diversity of rodents and insectivores on the eastern side of Lake Turkana in Kenya. A survey was done using live trapping at study areas of biological distinctiveness. Two rodents namely, Acomys percivali and A. wilsoni, were found to be numerous at the sites. A total of 191 individuals of 11 species were captured. The influence of different factors including habitat diversity, ecological isolation, and geographical isolation were noted in certain patterns.
